The vast majority of orthodontists today only take 2D radiographs of their patients. Unfortunately, 2D radiographs do not help the clinician detect a fulcrum in the asymptomatic patient. Dr. Ron Roth knew that this fulcrum existed on many of his patients --he would have loved a CBCT scan machine.
