Provisional restorations are a vital diagnostic and assessment tool. Function, color, shape, contour, occlusion, periodontal response, implant healing, and overall esthetics can be assessed with a well made provisional restoration. Accurate fit and margins are essential. Many clinicians make their provisionals utilizing bisacryl material and a pre-made stent. Lab made provisionals that are re-lined are also used. Printing your provisionals can save both time and money. Producing esthetic, well fitting, functional provisional restorations can be simply and efficiently done with your in-office 3D printer.

Deep Marginal Elevations (DME) can be very technique sensitive. Often times if the curing light cannot reach the restorative material due to sheer depth, we must come up with an alternative solution. Dual cured restorative materials have answered that puzzle. Dual cured materials are often misunderstood in the daily routine of a restorative dentist. This is mainly due to the clinician’s high comfort level with traditional light cured composite resins as their “go-to” material. During this CE webinar, I will explain the different mechanics between light cured versus dual cured materials and the role each has on stresses created and the impact on bonding. Then I will give a step by step systematic approach in using a dual cured material to obtain predictable and repeatable results when performing DME procedures. Finally, I will show clinical examples of Deep Marginal Elevations with dual cured materials and tips and tricks help obtain the desired result.

Discover the differences between automatic and manual interproximal reduction. In the last 20 years there has been a major development in the use of clear aligners and functional concepts applied to orthodontic treatments, both on children and adult patients. A key element is interproximal enamel reduction, a fundamental practice to recover the interproximal space in order to facilitate teeth movement in orthodontic treatments and to insure clean and accurate procedures in Class II patients especially dealing in the posterior sectors. The main technology contributing, not only to obtaining excellent results, but to raise the level of care and protection towards patients is automatic IPR, helping clinicians to maintain excellent control, avoid over-reductions, avoid severe damages and excessive pressure applied to the patient during treatment; all factors that manual or obsolete techniques may cause.
This CE webinar covers the essentials of surgical planning and guide fabrication for dental implants. Attendees will learn how to achieve optimal results from CBCT and intraoral scans, create virtual wax-ups for tooth replacement, and apply key principles such as implant safety zones and abutment selection. Restorative care is the core of dentistry. Dentists are proud of their work and the beautiful restorations they create; however, with high-risk patients it can feel like building a house on sand when the restoration ultimately fails due to secondary caries. Preventive care addresses the underlying cause (dental caries) and ultimately ensures a more predictable restorative outcome. In this webinar, I will discuss the importance of individualized preventive care – how it benefits the patient’s overall oral health, and in cases where the patient receives restorative treatment, extends the longevity of the restoration. I will further explain how prevention is not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Treatment should be tailored to the patient’s caries risk and should not be limited by age or insurance coverage.
