Ionolux is a light-cured, radiopaque, biocompatible and esthetic resin-modified glass ionomer restorative material. It has a mixing time of 10 seconds, a working time of 2.5 minutes and light-curing takes 20 seconds. This material can be packed and contoured immediately after placement and offers fluoride release. No conditioner or bonding agent is required. Ionolux is contained in a direct activation capsule that is activated by pressing it down on a hard surface before trituration, after which the tip is turned upwards for application of the material into the preparation. Ionolux is available in shades A1, A2, A3, A3.5, and B1 in boxes containing 20 capsules of one shade. Boxes of 50 capsules with 10 capsules each of shades A1 and A3 together with 30 capsules of shade A2 are also available, as well as boxes of 150 capsules in shades A2 or A3.
